Meals on Wheels
If it is difficult to prepare your own meals or your lifestyle is busy, frozen nutritious meals may be a good choice for you. Reheated in a microwave or conventional oven, our meals are designed to meet daily nutritional requirements.
Meals on Wheels provides meals for seniors (55+), adults with disabilities (18+), new moms (up to 12 weeks post-partum), those on short-term convalescence (usually 10 weeks) and their caregivers. Suitable for low salt, low fat and/or diabetic diets. Special diet puree, minced, renal, gluten free, no lactose and 87 Na (low salt) meals may be arranged by special order.

All meals are provided by ‘Entrée Plus’, at a cost of $6.50 per entrée and $2.75 per desserts (subsidies are available – please inquire).
PLEASE NOTE: Effective January 1, 2024 prices will be increasing for Entrees to $7.00. Soups, Sides and Desserts will be $3.00.
Meals must be ordered a week in advance for pick-up or delivery.
Schedule:
- Pick-up is available at the HHHS Haliburton site (lower level) by appointment only.
- Deliveries can be arranged at no charge on Wednesdays in Haliburton, Thursdays in Minden and the western hamlets, and two Fridays a month in Highlands East.
