MyChart
MyChart is a free, secure online tool providing patients and designated family members and partners in care at Haliburton Highlands Health Services access to medical records and personal health information. With MyChart, you can view your test results and other health information from HHHS and our partner hospitals:
- Campbellford Memorial Hospital
- Peterborough Regional Health Centre
- Lakeridge Health
- Northumberland Hills Hospital
- Ross Memorial Hospital
- Scarborough Health Network
This will help us improve patient safety and the continuum of care you receive at HHHS and our partner hospitals.

MyChart is part of the new clinical information system launched by Haliburton Highlands Health Services and our partner hospitals across the central east region of Ontario in 2021. The launch of this new, shared system – called Epic – is a major milestone in our history, and will transform the way we provide care for 1.5 million patients across the region.
Epic will provide:
- One digital record for each patient across the seven hospital organizations in the central east region.
- Patient access to a user-friendly and secure portal called MyChart to view their personal health information and upcoming appointments.
- Timely access to information to support the care team in clinical decision-making, including test results, medication information and other essential health information.
- Improvements in patient safety features, including barcode identity validation at the patient’s bedside.
- Less duplication and more efficient processes, contributing to a more sustainable health system.

1. What is MyChart?

2. Who has access to MyChart?
All Haliburton Highlands Health Services patients are able to register for MyChart, however, only patients who have completed the registration process have access to personal health information online through MyChart. Registered patients can electronically grant access family members, friends, and members of their healthcare team to their MyChart portal.
3. Why should I use MyChart?
MyChart is a free tool that provides you with easy and timely access to your health information online, at any time of day. You can use MyChart to create, manage and enter your own personal health information, such as your mood, blood pressure, medications, immunizations, allergies and your height and weight.
MyChart provides you with seamless access to your health information, and having this information available can help you manage your care with your healthcare team and lead to better collaboration and communication between you and your healthcare providers.
4. How can I access MyChart?
MyChart is accessible from anywhere at any time through the Internet on a computer, laptop, tablet or mobile device.
Once registered, you can log in to MyChart by visiting the MyChart website
5. What if I do not have an email account, can I still sign up for MyChart?
You cannot access MyChart without a valid e-mail account. You can sign up for a free email account using a variety of services (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, etc.).
6. Is there another way for me to access my personal health information and health records besides through MyChart?
Yes, you can follow our current process of requesting their personal health information record through Health Information Services.
7. What information can I access through MyChart?

9. Do any other hospitals use MyChart?
Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre developed MyChart™ 12 years ago and it has since been adopted in a number of other hospitals across Ontario.

10. How secure is health information in MyChart?
MyChart is secured through the same encryption technologies used by the major banks for online banking.
11. What happens if I lose or forget my password?
If you lose or forget your password, you can reset it by clicking the “forgot password” link on the MyChart login page
12. I have a question about a result of mine on the MyChart portal - who should I contact?
Your doctor or nurse will discuss your test results with you at your next appointment.
13. What should I do if I see health records or information on the MyChart portal that does not belong to me?
If you see someone else’s personal health information when you log in to MyChart, please contact Haliburton Highlands Health Services’ Privacy Office right away by phone at 705-457-1392 ext. 2222.
