The Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS) Medical Affairs team is committed to supporting professional staff in a welcoming and responsive manner.
Under the leadership of HHHS' President and CEO, Chief of Staff, and a dedicated Medical Affairs Executive Assistant, HHHS creates policies which assist staff meet patient quality of care standards, as well as developing processes that enable professional staff to complete their roles effectively.
The Medical Affairs team actively participates in and coordinates:
- Human Resource Planning & Strategic Influence
- Recruitment, Remuneration, Claims, & Accommodation
- Administrative Support and Letters of Support
- Online Credentialing: Appointments & Reappointments (CMaRS)
- Medical Education
- Onboarding & Orientation
Professional Staff Collaboration
The Medical Affairs team strongly promotes a collaborative approach within the professional staff. Topics, programs, or ideas that that professional staff would like to share with their colleagues may be shared with the Chief of Staff (khay@hhhs.ca) for consideration at the Medical Advisory Committee and Professional Staff Committee meetings.

An application for privileges at HHHS is a straightforward online process. CMaRS is a user-friendly web-based application implemented by many hospitals and can be easily accessed on-line
