Transportation

The objective of this service is to provide transportation to eligible clients so they can attend medical appointments when other means of transportation are not available to assist.

Door-to-Door Transportation is provided by our registered volunteers, driving their own vehicle, at a low cost.

Fees are the responsibility of the client and the cost of the trip is based on the kilometres travelled by the volunteer. There are also various minimum rates for in-County transportation. Please discuss the current mileage and minimum rates with the coordinator.

Wheelchair Accessible Van Service

The van offers accessible transportation to medical appointments within and outside the County of Haliburton for older adults (55+) and adults with disabilities who have no other means of accessible transportation. Fees are the responsibility of the client and the cost of the trip is based on kilometers travelled by the van. There are also various minimum rates for in-county transportation. Please discuss the current mileage and minimum rates with the coordinator.

A minimum of 4 business days notice is required and costs vary per trip.
