Respiratory Outbreak at Highland Wood

Dear Community,

On September 23rd, Lakelands Public Health (the new organization formed by the merger of Peterborough Public Health and the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit) declared Highland Wood Long-Term Care Home to be in a Respiratory Outbreak.

All symptomatic residents have been isolated to their rooms and placed on droplet and contact precautions with enhanced cleaning and outbreak measures in place.

The team at Highland Wood is working diligently to reduce the spread of this infection and keep our residents and their families safe.
