Respiratory Outbreak Declared Over in Acute Care
Dear Community,
On November 26, Lakelands Public Health declared Acute Care to be in a Respiratory Outbreak.
We are pleased to announce that thanks to the diligent work of the Acute Care Team, on December 5, 2025, the Health Unit has deemed the outbreak over.
Visitors are encouraged to wash their hands frequently using the alcohol hand rub supplied throughout the hospital. Visitors with respiratory symptoms should postpone their visit for at least 5 days after the onset of symptoms. Mandatory masking will be re-evaluated early next week but will continue over the weekend.
